CSEI's Housing Line serves as a single point of contact for individuals and families experiencing a housing crisis in Delaware and Dubuque Counties. When a household connects with Coordinate Entry, staff conduct an intake assessment; work with the household to develop an actionable plan; and provide connections to our community partners. CSEI builds and relies on community coalitions to promote sustainable, holistic solutions to reducing poverty and promoting public welfare for individuals and families who connect with our team.
In addition to working closely with homeless shelters in our region, we work with thirteen partner agencies on a weekly basis to connect homeless individuals and families to openings in local housing programs. CSEI manages two housing programs, Rapid Rehousing and Permanent Supportive Housing. Learn more about our housing programs.
CSEI also collaborates with agencies who offer rent, deposit, and utility assistance to households at risk of homelessness; including Catholic Charities; Dubuque County General Assistance; Hawkeye Area Community Action Program (HACAP); Hillcrest Family Services; Salvation Army of Dubuque; and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Individuals seeking assistance can call to connect with our team.
