Meet the Team
Marla Quinn has successfully secured Federal, State, and Local grants, for cities, library associations, elementary schools, and other community groups over the past 12 years, totaling over $18 million. Marla has an eye for detail when it comes to weeding through Federal and other application packages as well as producing concise and tight narratives. Marla meets deadlines and uses her creative writing skills to convey a story to grant reviewers. Marla also loves to dig in and review and edit grant applications to create a clean and understandable final product.
Jennifer Walker has an accomplished career in project management and fundraising for more than 20 years. Jennifer has worked for America West Airlines, Clarke University and LexisNexis as well as an independent fundraising consultant. Eight years ago she joined ECIA as a Project Coordinator and Fundraising Consultant. Jennifer has led capital campaigns from feasibility studies and board development through construction and grand openings. She has worked with a variety of clients to steer campaigns based on individual needs. Her work at ECIA has focused on grassroots fundraising projects – guiding campaigns with little or no staff. Jennifer has also taught courses on “making the ask” and has worked as an independent consultant for grant writing and prospect research. She has worked in every cycle of a campaign. Jennifer has a practical business approach combined with a special interest in building donor relations.

"We received a bequest of $116,000 and we began moving forward with plans to replace our library building. We had been meeting for 18 months, selecting an architect and choosing a building plan. We were struggling to raise funds to move forward with grant applications. Jennifer visited with the committee and then she did a feasibility study of potential donors. She definitely got us on the right path to the next phase of fundraising."
