ECIA provides technical and financial assistance (when available) to member governments and their non-profit partners in order to prevent, assess, cleanup, and reuse brownfields throughout the five county region of Cedar, Clinton, Delaware, Dubuque, and Jackson Counties. The goal is to reduce public health threats and put vacant, blighted and/or underutilized properties back into productive use.
ECIA staff can help you with many brownfields issues by providing:
- Free assessment services through our East Central Brownfields Coalition US. EPA Assessment grant
- Technical assistance in identifying, securing and administering brownfields grants and loans
- Information on brownfields topics including liability issues, redevelopment strategies and interpreting test results
- Connections to state, federal and nonprofit assistance and resources for assessment, cleanup and redevelopment of brownfields properties
